Treehouse in London, UK

Our treehouse design is a tribute to the exquisite architecture of nature, aiming to foster a profound interaction between humans and the environment that surrounds them.

For this project, we chose a majestic Pinus nigra tree, boasting a mesmerizing organic pattern of bark adorned with flaking fissures that resemble rainwater cascading down its surface, evoking the image of a gentle waterfall. We view this aspect as the purest architectural element of the tree – three giant trunks gracefully arranged in a composition that not only serves functionality but also exudes a majestic charm, providing unwavering support to the lush canopy above.

To highlight and celebrate this unique feature, we created a dark chamber that delicately frames the captivating section of the tree, inviting the audience to witness the intricacies of nature’s design. The brilliance of sunlight is harnessed, thoughtfully introduced through multiple cavities in the ceiling, reserved exclusively for the trunks. As the sun’s rays penetrate the chamber, a mesmerizing spectacle of light and shadows unfolds, enveloping the space in a spiritual ambiance.

In crafting this experience, we envisioned the space as a sanctuary for soul-healing, where individuals can forge profound connections with the tree and the natural world. It becomes a haven for meditation, enhanced by the aesthetically satisfying textures that surround visitors. The play of light takes on an ethereal quality, cascading like liquid matter, gently following the curves of the bark, and leaving behind delicate marks reminiscent of flowing stream paths.

This exemplifies the power of biomimicry, where nature’s inspiration is not only applied from nature to humans but also reciprocated within nature itself. The treehouse becomes a harmonious coexistence of human ingenuity and the timeless wisdom of the natural world.
